Hi, I’m Maka

I’m a multidisciplinary artist and Art Director based in San Diego, California. I’ve been drawing and painting my whole life, and I always followed the calling towards an artistic career. I graduated from UC San Diego with a B.A. in Fine Arts (Studio Arts) and now work between two worlds: the studio and the set

I’ve led creative direction, art direction, styling, and on-set execution for editorial and brand campaigns, including work with Cymbiotika and N8iV Beauty Skincare, supporting launches connected to Target and another nationwide chain currently in the works. My work has also been featured in Paper Magazine, Emirates Woman, Modern Luxury, Haute Living, Nylon, and more.
